Informative article from 'The Genetic Key Diet' by Dr. Steve Nugent.
Choosing the right food is important for your overall health and weight management........I always recommend a low-glycemic or low moderate glycemic diet for everyone. Even for people who don't need to lose weight. Other diets are proven failures. Low-glycemic foods do not trigger the undesirable insulin reaction that shuts down the normal process by which the body converts fat as energy. No matter your metabolic type or blood type, the benefits of a low G diet are simply too powerful to ignore.
Every person should clearly understand the role of fats and proteins. Proteins provide the basic building bocks of life, called amino acids. Without these, you could not exist. Animal proteins are very high in amino acids, vitamins and minerals because herbivores (exclusive plant eaters) that are the source for the meats people eat are designed to get all the nutrients they need from vegetable or plant matter, and then store it in their muscles.
Dairy associations have done a superb job of convincing everyone that calcium only comes from milk or milk products. That's simply not the case. Herbivore muscle tissue, which we refer to collectively as "meat", is high in calcium, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus, as well as B vitamins. Meat contains B12 which explains why many human vegetarians frequently become B12 deficient. Without calcium, you will not only have weak bones, but also muscle cramps. Since herbivorous animals must eat most of the day they can't afford to have muscle cramps, which will surely occur without the above-mentioned minerals.
Humans who eat low-nutritive diets must eat far more food than other people, and must eat constantly, like cows. They tend to become very large. This is a lesson from nature to make sure that we get a widely varied and balanced diet, as will as maximum nutritional support.'
Glyconutrients occur naturally in may plants that have been used medicinally in various cultures for centuries. For example, aloe is recognized worldwide for its healing properties, but the functional component is actually a glyconutrient. The company to produce the first complete glyconturient complex made from plants (not only aloe) was Mannatech Inc. There dietary supplement first became available to US citizens back in 1996. Since then these glyconutrients have been distributed to many countries worldwide.

Checking for Sugar Prints
Very interesting excerpt from 'The Missing Nutrients" by Dr. Steve Nugent.
'Let's look at evidence against the "glucose only theory". This theory assumes that all of us produce the enzymes we need every day in order to convert glucose into any of the known necessary saccharides. There are those doctors who believe that humans always produce sufficient enzymes either to fulfill the "glucose only theory" or to simply transfer glyconutrients to their intended healthy destination. Dr. John Axford has shown that people with rheumatoid diseases he has tested do not have a key enzyme in sufficient balance to deliver a key glyconutrient.
Whether the "glucose only theory" really works or not, there is an unquestioned connection between disease processes in the diseases thus far tested and deficiencies of glyconutrients. In fact, one scientist has developed a method of testing for this connection that he calls "Sugar Printing."
This modern day medical detective is one of the most respected researchers in the area of glycobiology. he is John S. Axford, BS, MD, FRCP(Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians). Dr. Axford serves on the editorial boards of three medical journals and on numerous medical and health related committees........ He is actively involved with research in rheumatology and is especially interested in the glycobiology of arthritic diseases.
Dr. Axford studied the relationship of the enzyme that facilitates the transfer of the glyconutrient galactose (not lactose) to its intended destinations in rheumatoid disease, including rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythematosis (SLE). Dr. Axford observed that an enzyme call galactosy/transferase and the glyconutrient galactose were both lower in patients with RA and SLE than in the healthy people designated as "controls". He also noted that the severity of the disease was directly related to the degree of deficiency of galactose.
Dr. Axford has been able to show that each rheumatic disease tested thus far with his sugar printing method has a unique "sugar print". Since 1965, a great deal has been studied regarding glyconutrients. However, at this point in time, very little is known about unlocking all of the secrets and the codes. Dr. Axford's sugar printing isn't just interesting - it is extremely important and could someday lead to doctors being able to not only diagnose but also predict many diseases by the distinct print left by the presence or absence of the glyconutrients in the blood.'

Fast Erosion Means the World is --- Young!
Interesting information form Creation Magazine Vol, 29 No. 2 Walker, T., 'Twelve Apostles' shock!
Since Roman times, the sea has eroded some 3 km of the mid-east coast, destroying many villages in Humberside, UK.1 On average, about 1.5 m of land has disappeared every year. One million years at this rate would see 1,500 km eroded, more than the entire width of England and Ireland. Clearly, this rate of erosion has not been going on for that long. Coastal erosion does not fit with millions of years, but with the timeframe of the biblical Flood, which ended about 4,500 years ago.
Message of the Apostles - Coastlines down under in Australia are constantly change too. In January 1990 one of the tourist attractions off the southern coast of Victoria crumbled without warning.2 Part of a double-arched rock bridge called London Bridge, collapsed seconds after two people had walked across, leaving them stranded high above the ocean on the newly created stack. They were plucked to safety by helicopter. Without a helicopter, it is hard to imagine how they would have been rescued from 50 m (160 ft) above the ocean.
In July 2005 another rock-fall in the same area caught the attention of the nation. One of the famous rock formations called the Twelve Apostles collapsed into the foaming waves, leaving only eight still standing.3 Everyone is told the coast started forming 20 million years ago, so the dramataic disappearance of the rocky landmark caught people by surprise. One ranger said he did not expect erosion to happen in his lifetime. Obviously erosion has not been going on for millions of years.

Nutrients for Immune Support
Cold and Flu time is with us again. A pharmatist was a little startled when an older lady came into the shop and asked for the euthinasia medicine! On further questioning it was discovered that it was in fact echinacea medicine which the lady wanted to cure a cold.
Whilst most people think of echinacea as a treatment for colds and flu's, it is also widely used for the treatment of candidiasis. Echinacea boosts the body's own immune function and also has direct anti fungal properties.
It is known that an 18 year old was told by the doctor that he had glandular fever and would have it for three months or up to five years. He was given mainly echinacea from a naturopath and he was better in one week and the glandular fever has not returned and he is now 29 years.
When echinacea cream or ointment is applied topically to the skin, it has an anti-inflammatory effect and can enhance healing. In cases of oral candidiasis, echinacea liquid can be swished around the mouth before swallowing to relieve symptoms. Capsules or tablets are a useful adjunct in vaginal candidiasis and should be taken together with probiotics. If you tend to skip meals or don't consume fresh fruits and vegetables regularly, a nutritional supplement may also be worth considering.
Mannatech inc. provides glyconutritional supplements which have amazing abilities to maintain and balance your immune system, helping you to achieve optimum health and prevent even the most insidious of today's killer diseases.

She Wears Size 10
Dr Jan McBarron speaks from The Home Remedies Book for Women -
As a weight-control specialist, Dr. Jan McBarron, has lived the counsel that she gives.
"At one point I wore a size 22 and weighed 90 kg (14 Stone)."
"When I reached 14 stone, I thought, "I can't diet anymore. I'm going to look at my thin friends and see what they do, then do what they do."
"My thin friends ate breakfast, lunch, dinner and occasionally, dessert," she says. "But they also took the stairs, walked to the shops and were more active in general. So I did the same.
"I lost about half a stone each month, and my weight has been stable for the past nine years," she says. And she has never missed her outsize wardrobe.
Mannatech Inc. originally harnessed the power of glyconutrients several years ago. Since then their innovative researchers developed the GlycoLEAN Body System giving health and wellness lifestyle.

Glyconutrients Increase Adult Stem Cells
The Real Story that US ABC’s 20/20 Investigators Missed
ABC’s 20/20 story on Mannatech – Why did ABC not finish their investigation on Mannatech?
By Mark Johnson, June 2, 2007
'....... The investigative ABC reporters seemed to have missed a chance of a newsworthy story relevant to the current stem cell debate.
Dr. McDaniel has published research based on accepted testing methods demonstrating that supplementation with glyconutrients greatly increases the production of adult stem cells in the human body. He has presented this incredible finding before state legislators in an attempt to inform them that foetal stem-cell research is no longer necessary since our own bodies can generate massive quantities of healing stem cells when given glyconutrients.
In fact, he reveals that implanting stem cells from other people is actually very dangerous and even fatal (as studies in China have proved)!
Mannatech filmed the interview between the ABC reporter and CEO Sam Caster. To see the full 4-part interview, go to: www.youtube.com and enter “Mannatech” in the search box.

Prostate Cancer Number One
It is now found that prostate cancer cases are more numerous than breast cancer. This extract is from - Prostate cancer now number one and rising - Adam Cresswell, Health editor 28 June 2007
'PROSTATE cancer has overtaken colorectal cancer to become the most commonly diagnosed malignancy in Australia. And figures show that the numbers of new prostate cancer cases are rising far faster than expected.
A report by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, to be released today, says that in contrast to forecasts published in 2005 projecting 12,929 new cases of prostate cancer in 2006, the true number will be about 18,700.
Today's report shows that prostate cancer has already overtaken colorectal cancer, based on the latest figures, which relate to 2003. They show there were 13,526 new prostate cancers diagnosed in 2003, compared with 12,536 cases of colorectal cancer.'
